Just saw the photos from the “Royal adjacent” wedding of Charles Spencer’s daughter, Cat Jarman. All I can say is: Has common sense completely left the building?

You’ve got a billionaire’s daughter, a historic Althorp estate, and thousands of acres… and they serve what looks like a £3.99 supermarket platter for the wedding breakfast? I’m seeing mismatched chairs, hay bales for seating, and guests in wellies? In March? For a wedding that probably cost more than my house, you’d think they’d at least hire a proper marquee or pick a venue that doesn’t require a 4x4 to get to the reception.

And spare me the “rustic chic” nonsense. That’s just what rich people call it when they don’t want to pay for a tent. Meanwhile, the rest of us are expected to take out a second mortgage for a church hall.
