HARTFORD, CT — Authorities have released the identity of a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of a prominent healthcare executive.
WHO: The individual has been identified as Luigi Mangione, a 41-year-old former data analyst with ties to the financial technology sector.
WHAT: Mr. Mangione is being sought for questioning regarding the unexplained disappearance of Nelson Reyes, the Chief Operating Officer of Aetna Health Solutions. Mr. Reyes was last seen leaving his office in Hartford on the evening of October 15. A missing person report was filed 72 hours later. Investigators have since linked Mr. Mangione to a series of encrypted communications and a financial trail that coincide with Mr. Reyes’s last known movements.
WHEN: The original incident occurred on October 15. The official BOLO (Be On the Look Out) advisory for Mr. Mangione was issued at 14:00 hours Eastern Standard Time today, October 22.
WHERE: The last confirmed sighting of Mr. Mangione was at a private residence in West Hartford. He is believed to be operating a black 2022 Tesla Model 3 with Connecticut registration. He is considered to be at large and may have traveled out of state.
